How a booking reaches you
Bookings arrive in your WhatsApp.
No new app to learn. When a guest is confirmed for your dates, you get one message with everything you need — and a reminder before they arrive.
No calendars to manage.
No listings to update.
No searching for guests.
Your room. Your rules.
The worry isn’t whether we can find a guest. It’s whether strangers will be moving in and out all the time. They won’t — you decide how often.
01
Choose your dates
Available next weekend? Open it. Need the room next month? Close it.

Host once a month or several times a month.
04
Set your house rules
Check-in times, smoking, pets, visitors, quiet hours — your call.

“I don’t want to meet someone four times a week.”

The GuestHub Host Network
Join a network that already has the guests.
Every week, travellers come to the city looking for a place to stay. We receive and manage this demand, then match guests with rooms available in our host network.
GuestHub
Earn from your spare room without getting another permanent roommate.
You rent a larger apartment
One room isn’t being used right now.
You own your home
You have a spare bedroom you’d like to put to work.
Your flatmate moved out
You don’t necessarily want another permanent roommate.
You want occasional extra income
Open the room only a few days or weeks each month.
Host when it works for you. Have your home back when it doesn’t.
A long-term roommate lives with you every day. Guests come for a few nights — and then the flat is yours again.

Tell us who and when you’d like to host.
Set it up the way you want it. We’ll come back with what your room could earn and whether we currently have demand that matches — before you commit to anything.
Not sure if you can host? We’ll check it with you.
Hosting rules depend on where your home is. In Catalonia, renting rooms in your own home to guests has conditions — and some cities restrict short stays. We go through them with you before your first guest.
- The home must be your main residence
- You live there while guests stay
- If you rent, you need the owner’s written permission
- Local rules on stay length and registration apply
Questions hosts ask first
Do I have to accept every booking?
No. We only send bookings that fit the dates, stay length and house rules you set. If something about a request doesn’t work for you, tell us before it’s confirmed.
Can I choose when the room is available?
Yes. You open and close dates yourself — a single weekend, a fortnight, or nothing at all for a month.
Can I set a minimum stay?
Yes. Choose 3, 5 or 7 nights and we only look for bookings of at least that length. A longer minimum means fewer check-ins.
Who are the guests?
Travellers coming to the city for a few nights or more — people who want a room in a real home rather than a hotel. You decide how many people the room takes and what the house rules are.
How do you verify guests?
Every booking goes through our verification before arrival: identity, stay dates, number of guests and acceptance of your house rules. You see the result in the booking message before anyone arrives.
What happens if a guest cancels?
We handle the cancellation and tell you straight away on WhatsApp, and the dates go back into availability. How a cancellation affects your payout is set out in your host agreement before your first guest.
What if something gets damaged?
Tell us with photos as soon as you notice it. We handle the conversation with the guest and, where the booking came through a platform, the claim with that platform. What is covered, and up to what amount, is written into your host agreement.
How and when do I get paid?
Each booking message shows your expected income before the guest arrives. Payment method and timing are fixed in your host agreement before you start.
Who communicates with the guest before arrival?
We do — questions, booking changes and arrival details. You handle the check-in itself, with everything you need already in your WhatsApp.
Do I have to use Airbnb or Booking myself?
No. You don’t need an account on any platform. We manage the listings and requests; you just tell us when the room is free.
Can I stop hosting?
Yes. Pause for a busy month or stop completely — just tell us. Bookings already confirmed for your dates are the only thing to agree on.
Can I try it for one month first?
Yes — that’s how we suggest starting. Open a few dates, host your first guest, and decide from there.
Am I allowed to host in my home?
It depends on where the home is and on your situation — whether it’s your main residence, whether you rent, and the local rules on short stays. We check that with you before opening your calendar; if your home doesn’t qualify, we’ll tell you rather than send you guests.
